Now in Khanh Hoa province, there are more than 500 rooftop solar power projects connected to the national grid. Through the metering system, after consumption of customers, the excess electricity of more than 3.5 million kWh from a total output of the rooftop solar power projects transmitted to the power grid.

The rooftop solar power projects have strongly developed in recent years in Khanh Hoa.

Being a clean, renewable, environmentally friendly energy type, suitable to the climatic conditions of Vietnam, and supported by the concerned agencies (with many preferential mechanisms and policies), the large rooftop solar power projects in Khanh Hoa province are developing strongly.
If in March 2019, in Khanh Hoa province there were only 109 customers investing in rooftop solar power systems, with a total installed capacity of 606 kWp and output of 68,676 kWh transmitted to the national power grid, so far in province, there are 455 customers investing in the rooftop solar power systems with a total capacity of 21 MWp and electricity output of 3,350,437 kWh transmitted to the national grid system.
Currently in the province there are more than 500 rooftop solar power projects of the households, units connected to the electrical grid of Khanh Hoa Power Company (PC), which receipts from the customers an electricity amount of more than 3.5 million kWh and pays them for more than 7.5 billion VND.
If multiplied by the electricity purchase unit price in 2019 of VND 2,134 / kWh, the amount paid by the electricity industry to buy solar power from people is more than VND 7.5 billion.
The customer using electricity from the national grid will pay for the electricity amount consumption, and the excess electricity amount from the rooftop system of customers transmitted to the national power grid should be recorded once in three months and paid by PC later.
