Accordingly, the Project has a total capital of over VND425 million, from the the public investment capital's planned capital sources.
The project sets the goals of collecting, evaluating and identifying areas with potential for construction investment, determining the scale and roadmap for solar power development on roofs in Da Nang City to 2025, with an outlook up to 2035.
Besides, the purpose of the project is to study and propose solutions and policies to encourage the solar power development on the roofs in order to effectively exploit solar energy in the area, contributes to building Danang city to become a sustainable development city.
According to assessment, Da Nang has an average sunshine hours per year up to 2,100 hours, average radiation intensity of 4.89kWh / m2 / day. Thus, the potential of solar energy to produce electricity is 0.733kWh / m2 / day, it shows that solar energy in Da Nang city has a great potential.
According to Da Nang Power Singgle Member Co., Ltd.,’s statistics, up to May 20, 2019, there were 157 customers (including 23 businesses and 134 households) installed solar power systems on the rooftop connected to the power system of Danang Power Company, with a total installed capacity of 1,028 kWp.
