Powering 500kV transformer substation for the largest wind power project in Vietnam

Trung Nam Construction Investment Joint Stock Company has successfully powered the 500kV transformer substation with two transformers by 225 MVA each (2x225 MVA) and 1.2 km of transmission line for connecting the Ea Nam Wind Power Project –largest wind power plant in Vietnam at present time to the 500 kV Di Linh - Pleiku transmission line.
Ea Nam Wind Power Plant Project has a capacity of 400 MW.
 
The Ea Nam Wind Power Project with a capacity of 400 MW and annual average output of 1,173.6 GWh invested by Trung Nam Dak Lak 1 Wind Power Joint Stock Company – a member of Trung Nam Group.
 
The project including 400 MW wind power plant with 84 wind towers, 1.2 km of 500 kV transmission line and two transformers with a total capacity of 2x225 MVA designed and manufactured by German Siemens Company.

The project was added by Ministry of Industry and Trade to Power Development Planning VII (adjusted project) and approved by Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 3282 on December 31, 2020.
 
The project with a total investment of 16,500 billion VND is considered a key one of the Dak Lak Province that has a very important meaning in reducing greenhouse gas in Vietnam
 
Trung Nam Group said that during the project operation, the investor will pay corporate income tax of over 3,000 billion VND to the local budget revenue and is expected to pay VAT of about 250 billion VND per year.
