The Revenue of January 2009 of Pha Lai Thermal Power Company (PPC) was recorded at more than VND 373.56 billion. The total cost was VND 278.14 billion, and the pretax profit was VND 95.427 billion.

Besides, the Board of Management has approved the production plan for the year 2009 with the power output of 5,968,305 million kWh, the total cost of VND 3550.65 billion, the revenue of VND 3847.78 billion, the total pretax of VND 297.13 billion and the dividend rate at 5%.

Prior to that time, PPC stock has been controlled by Ho Chi Minh City Securities Committee owing to the bad business in 2008. As reported by PPC, this was resulted from the fact that the Company was seriously impacted by the fluctuation of the world financial market, which raised the exchange rate between JPY/VND to a high level, and then the foreign currency loan of PPC (JPY 36,206,474,344) saw a dramatic increase. In consequence, the Company suffered from the loss of VND 469.44 billion.
