Thac Bac hydropower producer exceeds '09 business plan in first 6 months

Thac Ba Hydropower Joint Stock Co (HNX listed TBC) on July 22 announced the second quarter fiscal report with profit after-tax figure of 51.2 billion dong, increasing by 26.6 percent quarter on quarter. Thus, in first six months, the company's profit after-tax reached over 90 billion dong, exceeding the year's plan of 88.4 billion dong.
In Q2, TBC posted revenue of 68.5 billion dong, surging 14.7 percent from March 2009, and combined profit up 25.2 percent to 52.8 billion dong.
This year TBC targets to gain 202.5 billion dong in revenue, a dividend of 12.5 percent and total estimated electricity production of 272 million kWh.
