Thai Binh 2 thermal power plant begins construction

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br /> The Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) launched the Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power plant project at a ceremony in My Loc commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province on March 1 with the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai.<br /> </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">&#160;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;">Addressing the event, Deputy PM Hai said, with a capacity of 1,800MW, the Thai Binh power centre, including Thai Binh Thermal Power plants 1 and 2, will make a great contribution to the national grid as well as the socio-economic development and living standards in Thai Binh and other provinces in the Red River Delta when they are put into operation.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br /> He asked the Thai Binh provincial People’s Committee, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Construction to coordinate closely and resolve difficulties for contractors and investors to carry out the project safely, effectively, and on schedule.<br /> </span></p> Source: DTI News
