Ethnic groups receive electricity in Son La

Son La Province's Power Company, a subsidiary of the Electricity of Viet Nam started providing electricity from the national grid to 725 ethnic minority families in Chieng So Commune, Song Ma District on Monday.

The construction to supply electricity for the local people commenced in May 2012 and so far more than 2,300 households in the districts of Song Ma, Moc Chau, and Bac Yen have been provided with access to the electricity.

Another 670 families will connect to the national grid before Tet, raising the number of connected households in the province to 3,000, according to the Son La Power Company.
