A Vuong Hydropower Plant has reached 10 billion kWh of electricity output

The 10 billion kWh is the cumulative output that A Vuong Hydropower Plant (under Power Generation Corporation 2) has generated from the time it was connected to the grid until 4 a.m. on October 30, 2022, contributing to the power supply for the national power system to serve socio-economic development and people's life.

The construction of A Vuong Hydropower Plant commenced on August 31, 2003 in Dong Giang district, Quang Nam province. The plant is of 210MW capacity, including 2 power units, with an average annual electricity output of 737 million kWh.
 
After nearly 5 years of construction, 2 power units were synchronized with the power grid on October 11, 2008 and December 28, 2008 respectively.
 
To achieve the milestone of 10 billion kWh, all employees of A Vuong Hydropower Joint Stock Company have made great efforts to overcome many difficulties, from the investment and construction process to the safe and effective management and operation of the power units.
 
The reservoir operation and flood prevention have been performed satisfactorily during the plant operation.
 
A Vuong Hydropower Company has contributed over VND 1,750 billion to the state budget of Quang Nam province, making an important contribution to promoting local socio-economic development.
