In accordance with the maintenance and big repair course of the year 2008, from January 27th to February 1st 2008, Tri An Hydropower Company carried out the minor overhaul for H3 unit as in the plan ratified by EVN.
When waiting the National Power System Regulatory Center for the permission to stop the engines, the Company mobilized its maintenance workforce to fulfill some tasks that did not influence network separation and several other preparation duties. Hence, when the National Power System Regulatory Center enabled the Company to stop the engines to carry out minor overhaul, the progress rate to implement the minor overhaul was 2 days shorter than in the registered plan owing to the short engine separation period.
Also in this minor overhaul, in order to upgrade all equipment in the Soviet Union’s 220kV substation after it had been operating for 20 years, Tri An Hydropower Company replaced four 220kV isolators of SGF 245E1 technology imported from India for ligament 233. The reduction of the period for minor overhaul of H3 unit has made a great contribution to the guarantee for the security of the system and requirement for additional load of the power network in Tri An Hydropower Company.
