The project is part of a cooperation agreement on providing electricity for the archipelago and Platform DK1 between the EVN and the Naval High Command.

In a document sent to the EVN, the Naval High Command thanked the group’s leaders and employees for their efforts, affirming that this is a great encouragement for soldiers on duty on the Truong Sa archipelago.

The EVN began operating a clean energy and lighting system on the Truong Sa archipelago and Platform DK1 in July 2017.

Together with Truong Sa, the EVN has to date received and operated power supply systems in 10 out of the 12 island districts across Vietnam.

Between now and 2020, the EVN will focus on completing projects under the programme on supplying electricity for rural and mountainous areas and islands in 2013-2020, ensuring power supply to nearly all rural households.
