Equipped with Siemens Gamesa turbines, the Kolvallen facility will produce nearly 1 TWh of clean electricity annually once fully operational, which is expected by the summer of 2025. Its output will be enough to meet the power needs of around 77,500 households.
The owner of the site is the flagship energy transition fund of Foresight Group LLP which took over it in July 2022 from Arise. The latter manages the construction process and will also handle the management of the fully operational wind park. At the time of the sale, Arise agreed to reinvest and keep a 9% stake in the asset.
