The Government Office issued Announcement No. 40/TB-VPCP on the conclusion of the Prime Minister - Head of the National Steering Committee at the second meeting of the National Steering Committee to implement commitments of Vietnam at 26thconference of the Participants in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Researching to found Vietnam Renewable Energy Center.

 
Accordingly, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) should in coordination with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) and relevant Ministries and Agencies research to found Vietnam Renewable Energy Center for helping train human resources, handing over technologies and sharing the legal and national managerial experiences in this field.
 
The announcement stated that it is necessary to thoroughly grasp the views and unify the awareness of the importance and urgency of implementing the commitments at COP 26, bind it with extensive international integration and promote cooperative relations with our strategic partner countries to promote the attraction of resources, especially finance, technology, management qualifications, human resource training, etc. for the economic development recovering, implementing the green growth strategy and proofing against climate change. This is the consistent policy of Vietnam, suitable with the indispensable general trend of the world.
 
The Ministries and Agencies – members of the Steering Committee need to urgently and effectively implement the working program and key tasks concluded by the Prime Minister at the first meeting of the Steering Committee (Document No. 30/TB-VPCP dated January 30, 2022 of the Office of the Government).
 
The relevant ministries and agencies, according to their assigned functions and tasks in the Steering Committee, should report about deploying situation, implementing the strategies and plans on proofing against climate change with contents of COP 26 commitments of their ministries and agencies and send them to MONRE for summarizing and submitting the Prime Minister.
 
The MOIT presided over and in coordination with MONRE and relevant ministries and agencies should research to found the Renewable Energy Center.
 
The Ministry of Justice presided over and in coordination with MONRE and relevant ministries and agencies should develop the technical assistance project to propose the United Kingdom and partners to develop for Vietnam the Internal legislation of international commitments on proofing against climate change and commitments at 26 COP.
 
The Ministry of Information and Communications (MOIC) presided over and in coordination with the relevant ministries and agencies should develop communication projects including websites on green growth, green and digital transfers, and proofing against climate change.
 
The MONRE as Standing Office of the Steering Committee presided and in coordination with the Government Office and relevant ministries and agencies as members of Steering Committee should organize the periodical and irregular meetings, imminently the third meeting of Steering Committee.
