Supply power for 5 provinces in Tay Nguyen

In mid October 2008, Power Company 2 and Power Company 3 (The Electricity of Vietnam – EVN) and construction workforce have seamlessly carried out 61 construction packages which belong to the project on power supply for 1,200 communes without electricity in 5 provinces in Tay Nguyen.

The total investment of the project is VND 1,094 billion, of which 85% is derived from the National Budget and the rest is from EVN. The project consists of 5198 km of low-voltage and medium-voltage lines and 1,242 distribution transformer substations which will be completed in late 2009 and will electrify more than 116 thousand of households, contributing to the poverty reduction and the socio-economic development in the area.
