This figure was announced at a meeting held yesterday by the Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation to sum up this year’s programme to encourage power conservation in the City.
According to the corporation, the programme helped cut 102,495 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions and reduced the number of power cuts during the dry season.
The corporation will continue implementing a variety of power saving programmes in the near future to promote awareness of energy conservation among its nearly 1.8 million customers.
