Up to now, constructing units taking the responsibilities of the main dam have filled right-bank dam with the height of 403.5 m, poured cap concrete in the left-bank area, poured base-filling concrete and grouted sealing coat for area III and IV. The ground floor has been backed up with the height of 405-412 m, the crib timber dam with the height of 401.5 m, and rocks for the upstream with the height of 405.5 m. For the spillway, the constructing unit has fundamentally completed pouring reinforced concrete, installed 5 streak gates, meeting the demand of flood fighting in 2007. Especially, the water supply tunnel is considered the most important work, and constructing units have excavated 2 tunnels with the total length of 8,556 m.
In the area of constructing the factory and discharge canal, constructing units have excavated foundation pits of 606,748 m3/611,192 m3; already poured concrete for the installing floor of 303 m high; and upstream attic wall of 308 m high. Unit 1 position reached 309.8 m; the left wall of unit 2 achieved 303 m; and the upstream of unit 2 accomplished 304.25 m, the downstream 298.5 m and the left bank 303 m. The hydraulic mechanical unit has fully installed the spiral tank for unit 1 and a part of spiral tank for unit 2.
For the power distribution station, the constructing unit is excavated foundation pits and installed equipments, pouring concrete for 14 out of 47 column foundations as in the design. The foundation of transformer substation has been completed to pave the way for installing equipments and machines.
In the end of December 2007 and quarter I/2008, the contractors will focus on major categories like filling concrete for main dam, installing floor and walls so that unit 1 will be installed in February 2008. Constructing forces continues pouring arch structure concrete for 2 service supply tunnels and structural concrete for surge tank; constructing excavation pits and installing iron and steel equipments for power distribution station.
