Leaders of EVNNPT and its units participating in the project witnessing the moment of energizing Van Phong 500kV substation and connections.
In addition, the main scale also consists of building a 26.2km 220kV power line connecting from Van Phong 500kV substation to the Van Phong 220kV substation and connecting to the Van Phong - Tuy Hoa 220kV power line.
The project started in September 2021. According to the committed schedule with the investor of Van Phong 1 BOT Thermal Power Plant, this project must be completed before 26 December 2022. The construction time of this project is very short compared to other projects of similar size and nature.
EVNNPT/CPMB prepared their detailed schedule of each work item, closely followed the construction site to urge supervision, promptly solved problems, speeded up the progress, and ensured the project's quality. The Management Board and the Front Board are responsible for managing construction details, standing on site to promptly coordinate with units and localities to solve problems arising during the construction process.
The energizing of a project ensures a safe and continuous power supply for the load in Khanh Hoa province and neighboring provinces; meets the socio-economic development needs of the key economic region of the South Central Coast; releases the capacity of Van Phong 1 BOT power plant and capacity of renewable energy power plants in Ninh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, and Phu Yen provinces; contributing to ensuring the N-1 criterion, strengthening the stability of the power system, improving the reliability and safety of power supply for the national power system.
EVNNPT Deputy General Director Truong Huu Thanh said: The energizing of the Van Phong 500kV substation project and its connections timely serves the testing power generation of Van Phong 1 BOT thermal power plant and is ready to release the plant's capacity. However, to release the plant's full capacity, it is necessary to complete the Van Phong - Vinh Tan 500kV power line. Currently, EVNNPT and its units participating in the project are striving to complete the project in December 2022 under the direction of the Government and Vietnam Electricity.
