District No.9 – Ho Chi Minh City: Nearly 1,000 workers use electricity at reasonable price

As said by Tang Van Tuan, Chairman of Federation of Labor of District No.9 – Ho Chi Minh City, the Federation of Labor has implemented the project on applying new electricity tariff in hostels for workers in the communes, namely Phuoc Long A, Phuoc Long B, Phuoc Binh, Hiep Phu and Long Thanh My through the cooperation with Thu Thiem Power Company, District No.9’s Finance Office and People Committees of communes.
By the beginning of June, there have been nearly 1,000 workers who have chance to use electricity at a reasonable price, of which there are about 907 laborers in 258 hostels and 70 workers in 14 flats of temporarily residential raised the electricity limit.
The Federation of Labor of District No.9 is continuously cooperating with organizations to apply the new electricity tariff for households having houses for rent in Long Truong and Truong Thanh communes.
