Power Company No.3: Sign power purchase contract with Electricité du Laos (EDL)

In 2008, PC3 continuously and stably supplied power for Laos through two border gates, namely Lao Bao – La Hay in Quang Tri province. Purchasing power via border which has strategic meaning in the long run is put at the top priority to strengthen the relation between the two nations. As recommended by Laos, PC3 has invested in a power project providing Atopu province - Laos with electricity at Bo Y border gate with 813 m of 22 kV line, cutters, 22 kV isolators and measuring system with the total investment of nearly VND 1 billion.

This is a project which is carried out on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the foundation of Lao resistance war and Vietnam – Lao alliance established by Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam Communist Party and Lao Revolutionary People Party.
