Recover power transmission network in Hanoi

About the task of recovering from the bad results such as power cut caused by floods in some areas in Hanoi, Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong, Vice Director of Power Transmission Company 1 said that: “The power transmission system in Hanoi consists of three 220 kV transformer substations in Ha Dong, Mai Dong and Chem. In the past 3 days, all of these 3 substations have been flooded, of which the one in Ha Dong is the most severely influenced with the flood water level of about 1 m".

In order to meet the demand f electricity in Hanoi, the Company has continuously pumped and cleaned the electrical devices and right away carried out experiments so that the system can be put into operation in the short term.

Up to yesterday’s late afternoon (November 3), seven out of eight 35 kV substations in Ha Dong have already been re-operated. Some others will be recovered as soon as the flood water has gone down.

The task of taking the duties in power transmission units in the North at large and in Hanoi in particular is on the top priority.
