On January 16th, Mr. Tran Van Hai, the CEO of Thu Bon Hydropower Joint Stock Company, said that the Company would invest VND 2,372 billion in the construction of Bung River hydropower No.2 in Nam Giang district (Quang Nam province). The project has the capacity of 100 MW and the annual power output of 419 million kWh on average
Apart from Bung River hydropower No.2, Thu Bon Hydropower Joint Stock Company is also responsible for managing and exploiting Tranh River hydropower No.2 in Quang Nam which has the capacity of 190 MW and the invested capital of nearly VND 5,200 billion. The project is expected to generate in December 2009.
