Synchronically join 2 thermopower units of Ca Mau 2

As revealed by Ca Mau Oil and Gas Power Company, unit GT21 (GT16) of Ca Mau Thermal Power Company No.2 which has the capacity of 250 MW has officially joined the national power network for the first time at 14.09 p.m. with the initial capacity of 15 MW and 50 MW afterwards.

Before that, at 18.58 p.m. on June 7, unit GT 22 (GT15) which has the same capacity also successfully joined the national power network. The later experimental stages are being carried out by the plant.
As said by Mr. Le Anh Thong, Deputy General Director of Oil and Gas Power Corporation and Director of Ca Mau Oil and Gas Power Company, the investor and contractor Lilama is attempting to generate the combined cycle of Ca Mau Power Company No.2 (750 MW) in October 2008, meeting the power demand in the dry season at the end of 2008 and in the beginning of 2009. That GT units of Ca Mau Power Company No.2 have successfully joined the national power network has made a great contribution to satisfy the national power demand.
