As reported by Hoa Binh Hydropower Company, at 7 a.m. on September 12, 2008, the upper pool water level of Hoa Binh hydropower reservoir was at the altitude of +116.03m, the downstream level was at the altitude of +16.84m, the inflow discharge was 3,200 m3/s and the outflow discharge was 4,035 m3/s.
Complying with the Operating Process of Hoa Binh, Tuyen Quang and Thac Ba Multistorage in the annual flood season, the Flood and Storm Prevention Central Management Board has agreed with Hoa Binh Hydropower Company to close the waste outlet No.1 at 10 a.m. on September 12, 2008.
