On 23 June 2023, the Northern Power Projects Project Management Board (NPMB) under the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) held the ceremony of affixing the name board to complete Yen My 220kV substation project and its connection.

This is the project to celebrate 15 the year of the establishment of EVNNPT (1/7/2008 - 1/7/2023) and welcome the 4th EVNNPT Trade Union Congress, term 2023-2028.
The project is invested in and constructed to supply adequate electricity for economic and social development and improve the life of people in Hung Yen province, especially in the hot season of 2023; creating the connection between regions in the power system, enhancing the stability of power supply in the national power system.
The new substation construction scale of the project consists of one 220kV - 250MVA transformer. The 220kV side is a quadrangle diagram with four bays, and the 110kV side is a diagram of 2 busbar systems with a ring busbar including nine bays. The part of the 220kV line is connected to a 1.72 km long, new 220 kV double-circuit line connected from the Yen My 220kV substation to the existing Thuong Tin - Pho Noi 220kV double-circuit line.
The project started in December 2019 and was energized successfully on 11 March 2023.
The project's operation has contributed to ensuring a safe and stable power supply for Hung Yen province, creating a strong connection between areas in the power system, and increasing the safe and stable operation of the national power system.
