Standard Chartered Bank finances USD 40 million for EVNTelecom

Recently, Standard Chartered Bank has publicized the agreement on co-financing USD 40 million for EVNTelecom.

Along with Standard Chartered Bank, there are the Branches of Cathay United Bank, Tokyo - Mitshubishi UFJ Ltd. Bank and United Overseas limited Ho Chi Minh City Bank who mutually take part in financing EVNTelecom.

Standard Chartered Bank is the original bank that takes the responsibility of arranging this loan. Mr. Nguyen Manh Bang, the CEO of EVNTelecom said that this loan would be used for buying terminals, which served the developing and expanding the CDMA 2000-1X wireless fixed telephone network of EVNTelecom.  

Despite being a new telecommunication network, EVNTelecom has attracted more than 2.2 million subscribers to use CDMA 2000-1X wireless fixed telephone service. Estimatedly, by the end of 2007, the amount of service users will have reached 2.5 million.
