EVNTelecom and Hawei Corporation: Corporate in universalizing education and telecommunication

On November 30, in Cao Ba Quat High School (Tam Ky, Quang Nam), EVNTelecom and Hawei Corporation – the leading communications solution in China and all over the world, have collaborated with each other to organize the Workshop on CDMA 450 network services and grant sponsoring gifts. There were Mr. Do Huu Hao, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Mr. Nguyen Manh Bang, President of EVNTelecom, representatives of Quang Nam and so on attending the Workshop.

The Workshop was in the cooperation program between EVNTelecom and Hawei Corporation with an aim to create a specific view on CDMA 450 2000-1x as well as the benefits of this technology for life, especially to contribute to the education and telecommunication generalization for citizens in remote areas.
In the Workshop, Mr. Nguyen Manh Bang emphasized that: “Education and telecommunication generalization in Vietnam is a great problem because of the conditions of natural topography, unequal population location, usual natural disaster, particularly in the Central. Therefore, cable connecting to develop basic telecommunications and to help remote areas approach education and information technology has become a hard problem. With CDMA 450 - 2000 - 1x technology, EVNTelecom has brought about an economical and practical solution for the problem mentioned. Just by EVNTelecom’s mobile wave, customers can register to use wireless fixed telephone service E-com without waiting for cable connection. Moreover, CDMA 2000 1x EVDO technology with the maximum access speed of 2.4 Mbps is one of the technologies that contribute to the narrowing the digital gap between mountainous, rural and urban areas. In order to develop this advantage, EVNTelecom would like to receive more support from the Government and relevant Ministries in the implementing process of the project.”
On this occasion, EVNTelecom and Hawei Corporation have donated 500 CDMA wireless fixed telephones for Quang Nam province.
