As guided by the Government and The Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) about economization and anti-squandering, Power Transmission Company No.3 is implementing 6 solutions to economize 5% of the total transmission cost and 10% of the big repair cost in the assigned plan.
Controlling and operating 1,759 km of 220kV and 500kV line and 5 transformer substations with the total capacity of nearly 1,500 MVA, which go through 9 Southern and Central provinces, including Ninh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong and Binh Phuoc, Power Transmission Company No.3 continuously attempts to maximize the operation effectiveness of the power network.
As said by the President of the Company, Mr. Hoang Xuan Phong, the best solution is to lessen power loss, so at first, incidents need to be minimized. The Company will apply the bonus policy up to VND 20 million for a unit in the first 6 months if there are no incidents occurring in that unit. In order to achieving this, the Company carries out at the same time the big repair, periodical experiments and projects to mitigate the power cut period for each time of repair. Along with checking, the Company is constructing the material consumption standard. Moreover, the Company also establishes the regulations on internal expenditure in order to thoroughly economize the company’s budget. Besides, it prolongs the investment period of projects so that it can have time to mobilize capital, purchase equipment and construct the projects, guaranteeing the savings of about 5 – 7% of the general estimation.
Synchronically applying solutions of reducing costs and avoiding squandering, the Company has recorded the power transmitted through the area that is controlled by the Company of nearly 840 million kWh in the first 5 months. The power loss rate decreases to 1.84%, a 0.16% reduction in comparison with the assigned plan.
