Best projects and scientists receive awards

The 2011 Vietnam Fund for Supporting Technological Creations (VIFOTEC) Awards and the World Intellectual Property Organisation’s (WIPO) Awards have been presented to 44 outstanding scientific and technological projects and inventors.

The VIFOTEC Awards, including 4 first , 9 second, 13 third and 12 consolation prizes were given to 38 projects involved in mechanical engineering-automation, material technology, information technology, electronics, telecoms, bio-technology, eco-friendly technology, the use of natural resources, energy saving and new energies.
The WIPO’s best project award was presented to Nguyen Tien Dung from the National Power Transmission Corporation, for his research on ways of maintaining and preparing 500KV transformers.
The Deputy Prime Minister also presented certificates of merit to the authors of four projects that won the VIFOTEC first prize.
