2nd hand-over meeting on Vietnam – China power purchase

The Power Transmission Company No.2 has already organized the second hand-over meeting about the power purchase between two countries Vietnam and China. Vietnamese party, with the participation of more than 30 representatives, consisting of representatives from EVN’s Departments, National Power Transmission Company, Power Purchase Company, Power Company No.1, Power Transmission Company No.1, and Power System Regulatory Center was led by Mr. Tran Quoc Anh, Vice General Director of Vietnam Electricity (EVN). Chinese party was led by Mr. Zhao Sian Ninh, Vice General Director of Van Nam Power Network Company.

Vietnam has imported power from China via 110kV lines such as Ha Khau – Lao Cai and Maomaotiao – Ha Giang and 220kV lines such as Tan Kieu – Lao Cai, Ma Quan – Ha Giang and Ha Khau – Lao Cai. In general, the power importation from China through 110kV and 220kV lines has met the terms and conditions in the commitment. The transmitted output through the lines in 6 first months of the year 2008 reached 9,472,362,565 kWh.
In this hand-over meeting, two parties have mapped out a plan to recover some shortcomings related to technique, information solutions and regulatory between them when necessary as well as the estimated purchased power output and supply for the last six months.
