As said by Mr. Bui Trung Duong, Director of Da Lat Urban Construction Management Company, after more than one month of experimentally installing power-saving equipment for the public lighting system in some streets in Da Lat, there has been about 30% of power electricity saved. Particularly, in July, the power consumption in Ho Tung Mau substation with 96 lights has economized 3,906 kWh compared to that of previous months.

In the viewpoints of experts, power-saving devices operate on the basis of stable source and automatically control the light conforming to the changing demand of different times in the night, so they help save power, stabilize the power pressure for the output and prolong the service life of the lights.
This is a project implemented in Da Lat by the Research and Development Center of Energy Saving (Enterteam) – Ho Chi Minh City and Da Lat Construction Company since June, 2008.
