As said by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, it is getting hotter and hotter, which makes the power demand for everyday life’s activities higher. Moreover, that projects are falling behind the schedules or stopping operating to adjust equipment (Ca Mau 1 and Ca Mau 2 power projects) or have not stably running (Uong Bi Extension power project) has caused a shortage of 30 – 35% of the power production.
Therefore, the nationwide power cut has influenced the activities in production and everyday life’s activities of the population. The power production in July was estimated at 42.761 billion kWh, a 13% year-on-year increase, of which power sales was estimated at 37.934 billion kWh, a 15.8% year-on-year increase.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade required The Electricity of Vietnam to speed up the progress rate of the invested projects in the next coming time in order to raise the generation capacity of the system and at the same time cooperate with the mass media to popularize the power cut schedule so that all organizations as well as individuals will be more active in production, everyday life and to use electricity in a safe and economical way.
