At 8:25 a.m. on December 28, the Northern Power Project Management Board (under the National Power Transmission Corporation) in coordination with relevant units energized phase 1 of the project of Installing the second transformer at Vinh Tuong 220kV substation (Vinh Phuc province).

The project is invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT).
Phase 1 of the project is scaled to install a second 220/110/22kV-250MVA voltage level AT1 transformer, 1 220kV total bay, and 1 110kV total bay for the AT1 transformer.
The project received special attention and direction from the leaders of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), EVNNPT, and the Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee at the meeting on October 6, 2023, on the power supply situation and capability in Vinh Phuc province, and response solutions to ensure power supply to serve economic, social development, and national security and defense in Vinh Phuc province.
The energization of phase 1 of the project is important, contributing to improving the power supply capability to Vinh Phuc province and neighboring industrial parks, and contributing to the economic, security, and social development of Vinh Phuc province.
