Song Ong hydro-electric power plant joins national grid

The Song Ong hydro-electric power plant with a capacity of 8.1 MW in Ninh Son district, Ninh Thuan province was officially put into operation on August 2.

The Song Ong plant is among a system of hydro-electric power plants including Da Nhim, Song Pha and Song Ong invested by the Vietnam Machinery Erection Corporation (Lilama) with a total capital of VND 194 billion.
The plant is expected to generate 41 million kWh of electricity annually. Also, the Song Ong plant attracts more than 50 high skilled workers and creates jobs for hundreds of people in locality.
