Quang Ngai: Constructs 4 hydropower projects

Chairman of Quang Ngai’s People Committee Nguyen Xuan Hue has just signed the document to ratify the policy in which four hydropower projects will be constructed in Quang Ngai province in the method of construction, possession and business (BOO) with the total installed capacity of 35 MW and the entire investment of VND 685 billion. The period of construction is from 2008 to 2011, in which the investigation and planning stage will not exceed 12 months.
Accordingly, Kem Spring hydropower project which has the installed capacity of 1.5 MW and the total investment of about VND 40 billion is erected in Kem Spring in Tra Xinh commune, Tay Tra district. Nuoc Lac Hydropower project which has the installed capacity of 3.5 MW and the total investment of roughly VND 70 billion is constructed in Nuoc Lac spring in Long Mon commune, Minh Long district. Son Tay hydropower project which has the installed capacity of 10.5 MW and the entire investment of VND 175 billion is constructed in Dak Dring river in Son Mua commune, Son Tay district. And Dak Ba hydropower project which has the installed capacity of 19.5 MW and the total investment of about VND 400 billion is built in Dak Ba river in Son Bua commune, Son Tay province.
Chairman of Quang Ngai’s People Committee also requested investors to prove their capital source to be complied with the regulations when submitting their projects. And also, investors must pay investment security in accordance to regulations of the People Committee and must establish companies in Quang Ngai province to implement the projects.
