Power production reaches 42.761 billion kWh, more than 13% increase

The power production since the beginning of July has increased by 12.8% and power sales has increased by 14.8%. Since the beginning of the year, the power sector has produced 42.761 billion kWh, a more than 13% year-on-year increase, of which power sales has been estimated at 37.934 billion kWh, a 15.8% year-on-year increase.
However, he weather is getting hotter and hotter, which has raised the power demand of the population. Moreover, there are many projects which are falling behind the schedule or are being adjusted like Ca Mau 1 and Ca Mau 2 or have not stably generated, causing a lack of 30 – 35% of the power capacity.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has requested The Electricity of Vietnam in the next coming time to concentrate on speeding up the progress rate of the projects so that it can raise the generation capacity for the power system, to cooperate with the mass media to popularize the power cut schedule, helping individuals and organizations actively carry out their production, everyday life’s activities and also use electricity in a safe and economical way.
